
About Phil Ronniger Phil received his certification as a Five O'Clock coach in 2001, but his experience includes over 25 years of career coaching, consulting, and teaching. His work has taken place in a variety of industries including health care, financial services, manufacturing, not-for-profit, government and retail. He has worked for a variety of organizations including an international corporation recognized for innovation, an international network of entrepreneurs, his own firm and in higher education. Currently he works with smaller organizations in organizational effectiveness, staff selection and conflict management.Phil's previous roles have included Director, Professional Services for a premier international career services firm; 16 years as owner of a career transition firm and partner in the world's largest career transition network; and Coordinator of Counseling Services with the largest community college in the state. He continues as an adjunct professor in Human Resources Development in a graduate school of business, where he has been teaching Career Planning, and Interpersonal and Organizational Communication for more than 20 years. This experience is supported by a life-long commitment to learning. Phil has an M.A. in Counseling from the University of Iowa, a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia, and additional graduate courses in the Applied Behavioral Sciences. In addition he is certified in Strategic Leadership Development and Personal Directions with the Management Research Group and has extensive specialized training in career counseling, organizational effectiveness, interpersonal communication, and conflict management and mediation. Phil demonstrates his greatest effectiveness with clients in drawing out their distinctive combination of strengths and patterns, and collaborating in the design of the theme-focused rØsumØ and the targeting strategy. His counseling and coaching are outcome based. He enjoys and has achieved significant results with unique and challenging career situations and assisting clients create innovative options and solutions. |
