Ruth K. Robbins is a career coach with strengths in coaching, writing, transition coaching and career development. Since 1992 she has been in private practice, specializing in career exploration, self- assessment, job-search coaching and written communications in support of job search.

She is currently a coach with a national human resources consulting firm specializing in corporate career coaching and job search/family assistance for spouses of relocated employees throughout the country. She has been in the Guild for several years, and leads one of the weekly job-search strategy groups at the Main Club. Ruth is also a member of our media team.

Ruth holds an M.B.A. in marketing from Fordham University and a certificate in Adult Career Planning and Development from N.Y.U. She was M.B.T.I. certified in 1995 and has taken numerous workshops sponsored by American Psychological Type Association. She has conducted résumé training seminars and Myers-Briggs workshops in the Strive network, a program serving the marginally employed and youth-at-risk. She also has coached Trainers and Job Developers from the Strive centers.

Ms. Robbins has taught career development workshops at the New York Public Library Job Information Center. She has also presented at the New York Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association, The East End Women's Business Network of Long Island and the 92nd Street Y. She is a regular speaker at the B'nai Jeshrun Job Bank and All Souls Unitarian Church's Career and Life Planning Group.

Featured in a Daily News article entitled "A Hire Authority," Ruth has also appeared with Kate Wendleton on the Bobby Rivers show and on the 'On the Job Segment' of MSNBC.

Prior to entering the career field, Ruth directed market research for several textbook publishing companies, including CBS Publications. She also has experience in fundraising and events management for non-profit organizations.
