Richard Bayer, Ph.D., is an
economist, ethicist and author on labor economics, and also the Chief Operating
Officer of The Five O'Clock Club. He is a frequent guest on local and national
media including the TODAY SHOW, CNN and others. He and the Club have also
been featured in The Economist, FORTUNE and other publications. Dr. Bayer
is co-chair of The Employment Roundtable, a group of industry leaders and
government personnel who converge each month to discuss trends in the workforce.
He has written two books on labor economics.

Bill Belknap
has thirty years of senior management and human resources experience, with more than 10 years at the Vice President level. Ellis Chase is a master coach
for The Five O'Clock Club. He was one of our first certified coaches, starting
with us in 1987. He ran his own branch for four years. He has written a
number of articles for The Five O'Clock News, and is currently facilitating
one of our national Insider Groups. Ellis' extensive experience in career
development includes work at human resources and outplacement consulting
firms; he has also held positions in manpower planning and staffing at financial
services institutions. Ellis is a founding member of the New York Chapter
of the International Association of Career Management Professionals, and
holds a B.A. and an M.A. from New York University.

Jim Borland , Ph.D., brings
almost eighteen years of career transition experience to The Five O'Clock
Club, where he manages the Manhattan Central Club, counsels in the Main
club, and is an affiliated individual counselor. He has been with The Club
since 1994. In addition to an A.B. from Tufts University, Dr. Borland holds
a Masters from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University.
He is a Certified Social Worker in New York State.

Ruth Robbins is a career management
consultant with strengths in counseling, writing, career transition, career
development and group facilitation. A member of the media team, Ruth has
participated in several high-profile projects, including Project Strive
(A non-Five O'Clock Club venture featured on CBS 60 Minutes). Ruth holds
an M.B.A. in marketing from Fordham university and a certificate in Adult
Career Planning and Development from N.Y.U.

Renée Rosenberg is an
accomplished and entertaining speaker, Renée frequently presents on a variety of topics including, Assessment and Targeting, Résumé Preparation, Interviewing Skills, Networking and Accessing the Hidden Job Market, Mid-life Career Transition, and Keeping Your Momentum Through a Difficult Job Search. Other topics that Renée covers include Personality and Job Search, Effective Communication, Learned Optimism and Humor as a Tool for Stress Reduction.
Renée has coached Japanese executives in New York and Tokyo, was an adjunct instructor in the Baruch College Career Development Program, served as director of a major non-profit employment development program and, at the United Federation of Teachers, created and conducted classes in multiculturalism and diversity, learned optimism and purposeful work. Chip Conlin has been a board
member of The Five O'Clock Club and the Club's Speakers Bureau since 1996.
With over 20 years20 years' experience in human resources, he previously
work for two major financial institutions. Chip is also co-president of
the New York Technical Recruiters Association and, as such, has developed
an industry expertise in the information technology field that he frequently
incorporates into his speeches and counseling. Chip is also a member of
the Society for Human Resources Management and the International Association
for Career Management Professionals. He holds a Master's degree from New
York University.

Kate Wendleton is a nationally
syndicated newspaper columnist and recognized authority on career development,
having appeared on the Today Show, CNN, CNBC, Larry King, National Public
Radio, CBS Early Show, and in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The
Wall Street Journal, Fortune magazine, Black Enterprise, Business Week,
and other national media. She has been a career coach since 1978, when she
founded The Five O'Clock Club and developed its methodology to help job
hunters and career changers of all levels in job-search-strategy groups.
Branches of The Five O'Clock Club across the country now use Kate's methodology.
In recent years The Five O'Clock Club has grown exponentially, with the
introduction of inexpensive teleconference career strategy sessions, and
The Five O'Clock Club's ventures into developing an effective and cost-efficient

Dwight Clarke combines
his passion for motivational speaking with his coaching practice and is a
frequent speaker at Columbia University and Baruch College. During
2001-2002, Dwight was also the National Executive Director for Workforce
America, the not-for-profit arm of the Five O'Clock Club that operated in
Harlem. With his unique perspective and qualifications, Dwight is an ideal
coach for career-changers at all levels and people entering professional
ranks. He holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Practice from Lehman
College and an M.S. in Social Work Administration from Columbia

Terry Pile is a results-oriented career coach with nearly

Cynthia
Strite
In the summer of 2003 Cynthia became Branch Head of the flagship branch of the Five O'Clock Club that meets on Monday evenings at the Helmsley Hotel in Manhattan. While career coaching is often a role Cynthia plays in her corporate life, she is also a volunteer mentor and coach with First Step, a Coalition for the Homeless job readiness program for economically disadvantaged women.
